Option to autocomplete virtual products

    Hi team,
    I see according your information, that only virtual and downloadable products will be automatically change to COMPLETE status when payment is received.

    And also I see that WooCommerce offer special plugin “WooCommerce Order Status Control” to add the AUTOCOMPLETE status function to products that are VIRTUAL but not downloadable.

    But I have a question….
    In product configuration, I can select VIRTUAL and DOWNLOADABLE, but at the same time I can decide NOT assign any link in the URL of file to be download. And configure download limits to 1 day & 1 time.

    Doing this configuration, seems that product can be sell without problems, the COMPLETE status appear when payment is done and customer don’t see any information or link to download any file.

    Seems in that situation, that all works fine and I obtain the function to change automatically the status to COMPLETE.

    This is correct? this “trick” in product configuration can work fine and not produce any malfunction or error in future?

    Please let me know in order to use or not.

    I know that I can purchase the suggested plugin “WooCommerce Order Status Control” but if I only need the autocomplete WooCommerce function for virtual service products and this “trick” in product configuration works fine. It can be a good solution to avoid one plugin more in my installation.

    Hi there,

    That’s a nifty workaround that I haven’t seen before ??. The only implications this might have is if you have physical products that need shipping, but other than that everything should be fine at face value.

    Thanks for your answer, in my case, customer only can order 1 product at time. These products are services (as coaching sessions), online courses, or subscriptions.
    For my case I use only virtual products (services) in my store and no shipment or download are required. I has tested and seems that works fine.

    My doubt is about this “trick” solution will be stable in time or can be removed or changes in future updates.
