    Hi there,
Is it possible to either add an option to edit the new ‘Coming Soon’ page from the pages area, or disable / remove the site visibility section completely?

I’ve been using the Branda plugin to set a maintenance / coming soon page for a while, and though I’d be happy to use the Woocommerce ‘Site visibility’ option instead, I can’t edit the coming soon page as I don’t use or plan to use blocks.

If I can’t edit the coming soon page, then the whole site visibility setting and admin bar button is unusable and an unwanted additional thing that uses resources.

If there’s any way to completely disable / remove the option please let me know.

    Thanks for your help!

  • I have the utmost respect for the capabilities of the WooCommerce team, but this functionality as it was recently released is not okay.

The provider Hostinger offers its own “Maintenance Mode + Bypass Link tool (where you can reset as many times as necessary)” and, absurdly, WooCommerce’s “Site Visibility” feature makes Hostinger’s excellent tool inoperative.

I believe it is correct that the “Site Visibility” functionality has a button or similar where users can initially set it to enabled mode and only then perform the optional configurations between “Live” and “Coming Soon”, and if users want to continue using their chosen tools to have their own “Maintenance Mode” pages, they can completely disable this functionality.

It is urgent for the WooCommerce team to resolve this issue and allow “Site Visibility” to be completely disabled, please.

    Hello @japenz, & @newpr2024,

We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns about the new “Site Visibility” feature.

Currently, there is no default option to remove this from the admin bar; however, you can use the code snippet shared here to do so.

Also, please note that, the team is already aware of this issue: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/51389

At the time being, we can’t give you an estimate for when the team will look into or fix the issue, as bug/enhancement reports are prioritized based on a few criteria. Please subscribe to the GitHub issue if you’d like to receive updates.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Thanks for your understanding.
