Option to make Event Listings as Posts and NOT a separate system?

  • Will there be an option so we can create event listings as WordPress custom posts and NOT have it be a separate database?

    The downside of this plugin NOT creating Event Listings as posts is that it excludes all of the other wonderful plugins that work on Post pages such as “comment luv”, “follow replies by email”, “widget logic” etc.

    Is this coming? Is there a public roadmap for the plugin?

    Oh and the other benefit of having calendar items as posts would be to allow the use of WP-Cache to help speed up calendar posts.

    Currently, with the calendar items being in a separate system, we can’t make full use of the entire range of complementary site plugins.
