  • Try using [ic_add_posts post_type=’post_type’] and putting sticky in the post type.

    Hi RogersPTA

This didn’t work for me. I tried it with and without the stick posts ignored code added.

I decided it would be easier to just post articles to a specific category and choose to display only that cat instead.

    Hi Gem,

Unfortunately, we don’t have a way to show only sticky posts using the shortcode. I’ll put that on the list of features to add, though!

If it’s feasible, I’d recommend handling your situation just the way you did: create a special category (or tag, custom post type, taxonomy, etc.) to group the posts you want to list. That gives us a very straightforward way to handle them.

If that’s not feasible for some reason, then you may be able to add an if-statement filter to the template as described in this post using the is_sticky() function.

To be honest, the quickest and easiest solution for me is the category route as described and it’s already been implemented into my site ??

Many thanks for your reply Patrick and for considering it as a possible feature for a future release.

    Gem
