    I am currently using the [fileaway] shortcode to display a table.

    Would be nice if there were an option to open files in a new window/tab:

    target=”_blank”
    target=”_new”

    Just bought you a six pack to say thanks for this plugin ?? I’m a site developer and this is going to come in handy on WordPress. There are very few plugins that display files-lists well.

    Hi, again. Yes I’ll add this in the next update. I think the best way to do it would be to make it a global option on the configuration page, where you enter a comma-separated list of filetypes that you want to have opened in a new window, as opposed to the default behavior of a download link. The reason the download is the default is because most file types out there aren’t viewable in browsers. What do you think?

    Hi,
    Yes, I think this would be a great solution, and agree with you that the default behavior should be just as it is right now. I’d say the files that can be opened in a browser are in the minority; however the option would be very useful for some file types (in my case, PDF files, where the option to open in a new window would really make a big difference from the users point of view).

    Okie doke. Version 1.2 is now up. Added the New Window option to the Basic Configuration page. Takes a comma-separated list of file extensions. Thanks for the feedback.

    Huge load off my chest this is very cool. 5 stars.

    Hey there. Great Plug in, I love it! But I have a problem, images open in a lightbox from my theme :-/ Is there a way to give the links a target=blank? I tried with the New Window setting but that didnt work.

    THX!

    Your lightbox settings must be overriding the target=”_blank”.
