    It will be in trunk within the next few hours, possibly a tagged update today also.

    The development version addresses this.
    2.3 now has a new setting to enable/disable “Advanced Mode”… By default, it will currently not be checked. Users that want to inline SVG will need to manually check this option.
    Feel free to install the dev version and see what you think.
    I will wait until 2.3 is the latest stable release before marking this as resolved anyway, but I’m working on some other features before the release.
