Option to remove unique number at end of status meta

I’m using the plugin to assign a stock status of “Waiting List” whenever an ordered item is on backorder.

However, the it appears to create individual unique Meta Keys beginning with “Woo Custom Stock Status Backorder Status” and ending in a unique number. As opposed to just “Woo Custom Stock Status Backorder Status” as the key and 1234 as the meta value.

Is there a way to resolve this? Not only creates a large number of columns (100 backorders = 100 columns) but makes it difficult to run any other automation against it.
