When a user scrolls over a link, information is provided about when that link was most recently updated. I’d like to remove that effect, because the information also includes the link name which makes the resulting popup large and — I believe — distracting to the user. Is there an option in the configuration settings to disable this effect? If not, is there another way you can think of, which would enable me to disable it?

This updated information can be hidden by unchecking the “Show link updated flag” option under the Links tab of library configuration. Checking this option also determines whether or not “New” flags appears for recently updated flags. If you need one and not the other, I could break out that functionality in two options.

Breaking it out into two options would be great, Yannick! I prefer to keep using “new” flags, but I’d like the scroll over information to be only available to administrators, or as you suggested, a separate option all together.

I was travelling for work this week, so only got to this now. Update to latest version to see a new option labeled ‘Show Link Updated Date in Tooltip’ in Links tab. This is now what will control the tooltips. The old option will control showing the ‘new’ tag.

Please let me know if this works as expected and consider donating to support this plugin’s development.

Works great Yannick, thank you for the quick response.
