Options for twenty seventeen update today (29th) cancels premium version

If you have plugins on auto update (e.g. with Updraft Plus) you do not see the warning/popup until afterwards, and maybe not even then (as I didn’t). I don’t hold Oliver responsible. This Plugin is excellent, don’t dis it unless you KNOW you didn’t screw up.

Just to confirm … we (as in us as well as you) are not allowed to talk about premium plugins in this forum. This is in the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

We are also not allowed to solicit contact outside of this forum (see above guidelines).

With regards to the free plugin, which was updated last Friday (four days ago), an admin error notice displayed on all admin pages was included with clear instructions as to how to download and install an additional plugin if required.

We have replied to all direct contact with regards to the issue mentioned in this thread swiftly and have so far been able to get 100% of people sorted.

instead of writing: ‘we are not allowed to talk about the premium plugin in this forum’, you could give us a clue or hint where we CAN talk about this. I have really searches and found nothing

We are not being deliberately evasive, @hansbeen, forum moderators take the guidelines very seriously and I’m amazed that this thread hasn’t already been shut down and all our accounts limited.

So please, stop asking about the premium plugin in this forum.

But where CAN we talk or ask about this then? That is not a strange or unreasonable question I think. Give me an alterative. Now we have a new plugin where we cannot talk about? And why can’t we talk about this here? Because it’s a paid plugin perhaps? You could explain that. Now I really don’t understand.

Right, to make this as clear as I possibly can, and quoting directly from the forum guidelines …

This is why we can’t talk about the plugin …

Do not ask for help regarding premium themes/plugins.

… and this is why we can’t tell you where you can talk about it …

Do not post email addresses, ask others to post their email or solicit contacting people off of the forums.

So please, read between the lines and I’m sure you’ll understand what we are saying.
