    I don’t see the Display Posts Shortcode plugin in use on the second link.

    Have you made any Customizations with Filters? Your customizations could be overriding the shortcode parameters.

    It could also be your theme. Switching to the default WordPress theme will let you see if it works without your theme. If it is a theme issue, you should speak to the theme developer about how to fix it.

    thanx, bill, but i just went ahead & wrote a news template to mimic the static front page display latest posts

    I don’t see any code output by this plugin on your development news page (link). When I view source there’s no “display-posts-listing” which is the class applied to the shortcode’s output.
