I have installed activated the Asset Cleanup plugin. When editing the homepage, the fetch completes but then it starts to “build the list of the fetched assets and print it…” and that process never completes.

So I went into the settings and activated the “Manage in the Front-end” option and saved the new settings, but nothing is showing at the bottom of the homepage even though I am logged in.

The site is using the Divi theme and I can see that the Asset Cleanup plugin by default will not show up when the Page Builder is open, but it is not open in this case.

Really looking forward to trying out this plugin but having trouble getting past this point. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much in advance

@seaforth you’re likely having a JS error there when the assets are fetched within the Dashboard. Can you have the browser’s console loaded there and let me know the error when the fetching gets stuck? Also, are you sure you are logged in as an administrator when you’re visiting the bottom of the page? The CSS/JS manager should be there.

PS: A new version will be released very soon. There’s a development version that was updated today and you could give it a try. Perhaps it will work with this one. Here’s how to install it: https://www.assetcleanup.com/docs/?p=350

@gabelivan I don’t know why, but I edited the page with the console open and the plugin completed building the list and I was able to configure and use the plugin on the homepage. It is also now working on the frontend (which I find a little easier for some reason).

I don’t know why it is suddenly working but I am not going to complain. It has made a dramatic difference in loading the homepage already.

I look forward to the update coming soon!

@seaforth I’m glad everything works fine now. Consider updating to the latest version of the plugin if you haven’t already as it comes with lots of improvements.
