• The options page http:://website.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=Enlighter is not responding when I try to hit save changes button. It’s being broken. So, I can’t change any settings of this plugin. Please help.

I have the latest version of WordPress installation, PHP version 7.0.* and a new installation of WordPress.

    Hi @galibri,

the current version works fine within the testing environments. i believe its may an issue with your hosting environments configuration. did you tried it on another host ? do you see any errors on the settings page ?

    br, Andi

I’m having the same issue. I activated the plugin via the wordpress admin panel. Everything is green on the right, but when attempting to save settings it just hangs and then fails (trying to load options.php). There are no errors or anything in the console. I tried with PHP 5.4 and 7.0. Would really like to get this working, please help.

    Hi @cybereality

i’m currently unable to reproduce the issue. it also works on > 10.000 sites..
therefore it can only be an issue with your hosting environment. initially Enlighter has to store over 100 options in the database and runs a bunch of queries via WordPress set_option calls. maybe there are some limits set wrong (e.g. query limit in mysql, post_max_size etc. in php.ini)

did you try to run the plugin in another hosting environment ? e.g. lamp/xamp stack locally ?

maybe this workaround works in your case

Thanks for the reply. I tried that work around, but it still doesn’t work. I’m pretty sure there is something jacked up with my environment as debugging doesn’t seem to work either. I’m going to try with a fresh install of wordpress, maybe that will help. Thanks.

The hosting was my culprit, but I don’t know which part was the culprit. By changing the hosting server, the problem was solved for me.

Thanks for the update. I’ve been struggling with this all day. I even wiped the server clean and installed wordpress fresh, and I still have the issue.

At this point, I think it has to be my hosting provider or some setting I’m missing. I’m also having trouble with debugging, it seems the host is forcing logging off so I have no way to see what’s going on.

I’ll keep searching for a bit, but I may end up just switching hosts. Do you mind if I ask where you switched to?

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! It was my router.

It has built-in security, which usually doesn’t cause an issue, but for some reason it was blocking the options.php file. I just disabled the anti-virus and was able to update the options with Enlighter. Really strange, but I’m glad I figured it out.

Wish I would have thought of that before wiping my server, but I was able to update some other things in the process, so it’s not so bad.

Thanks for your help Andi and congrats on the great plug-in.
