    Hi,

I’m new to wordpress and web building.

After I install the WordPress 3.5.2 by using cPanel’s Softaculous,

I try to change my permalink setting,

But there’s only the default is working.

Below is the steps I made :

    1) Choose any one of 【Day and name / Month and name / Numeric / Post name / Custom Structure】

    2) Click “Save Changes”

    3) a 406 Not Acceptable page appear :

    Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /blog/wp-admin/options-permalink.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I checked the Error Log in cPanel :

[Thu Jul 04 17:04:10 2013] [error] [client 115.132.122.242] File does not exist: /home/kye93com/public_html/406.shtml, referer: https://kye923.com/blog/wp-admin/options-permalink.php

Is it about the mod_security ??

How can I solve this problem ??

    Thanks.

I try to contact my host company.

After they turn off the mod_security,

    the problem is solved.
