Options sweep

    My “Options Sweep” section says, “There are a total of 3,859 Options.” Under “Details”, it says I have 139 Transient Options. When I select “Sweep,” it returns a success message saying “141 Transient Options Processed.”

    I refresh the page and now it says “There are a total of 3,878 Options.”

    I’ve sat here and continuously selected the “Sweep” button under the Options Sweep, but I don’t really seem to be getting anywhere.

    I’m confused as to how this plugin cleans the wp_options table. Can you please give a little insight?

    This plugin doesn’t clean your wp_options tables except for the Transient Options inside it.

    For Transient Options, after you delete it, the next page refresh, they MAY be created again depending on the plugins and WP itself will create those as well.

    It is close to impossible to remove unwanted values in wp_options because there is no central way to keep track which plugin uses which key.
