• I’m trying to recover data from a plugin that was lost when I updated yesterday. Folks keep mentioning that I should be able to to to the WP options table to retrieve the lost data, but I don’t understand how to access the options table.

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Edit: Looking at your other topic, you might have to look in the wp_options of a previous verison of your database to get the info you’re looking for. Do you have any backups of your database saved somewhere?

    You lost me at cPanel.

I inherited the site, and have no idea about the databases, backups, etc.

Is there a “databases for dummies” FAQ I can consult?

Unless the person you inherited this site from was using Black Studio TinyMCE Widget, and has a backup of the database (.sql file), you’re not going to recover the data. You need to search for ‘widget_black-studio-tinymce’ inside of a backup of the database.
