    Hi there,

I am needing to update to PHP 7.4 and use your plugin on a lot of my sites.
I am getting this error when I test the site:
There has been a critical error on this website.

I know Orbit Fox is the issue, as when I disable it, my sites all load fine.
Is there a way to fix this? I really like this plugin and do not want to find another if I don’t have to.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @pressingissues,

Please check your server log for PHP errors (your hosting provider can help with that) can copy/paste the errors here so we can have more information about what could be causing them?

    Thank you!

    Hi @pressingissues,

Kindly confirm the version of Orbit Fox that you are using.
I’m using PHPv7.4 with Orbit Fox but can’t replicate this issue.

    I am using Version 2.10.4
Orbit Fox Companion by Neve theme.

If you are looking at any sites I have linked, I am in the middle of changing the forms to a different plugin in case this couldn’t get resolved.

    Hello @pressingissues ,

I saw that your website is up and running now although seems like you’re not using Orbit Fox anymore.

I have also tried reproducing the error on my machine and got no luck thus makes me think of a plugin conflict.

Have you tried de-activating all plugins and only leaving Orbit Fox active then activating them one by one and see when the site breaks?

Please let us know how it goes!

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

I was caught in a jam as our host was upgrading the php and I HAD to have the sites work. So yes, I switched to another plugin.

When I was testing the error I absolutely shut off all the plugins then turned them on one by one. This is how I found out that Orbit Fox wasn’t working with the site.

In fact, even when it was the ONLY plugin activated the site tossed that error.

As of this mornings update, I see that the one site I still have orbit fox on IS working. Perhaps the update fixed it.

    Hello @pressingissues ,

We’ve taken a deeper look at the error provided and it seems like some non-standard setup was used in the hosting.

We are glad to hear that the problem got solved and that you can go back to building and improving your website!

Thank you for your cooperation and have a great day!
