Order by custom field

Could you share the full code you are using?
You might want to cast as number for ordering.

Sorry, this needed to be SIGNED.
Also, this is meant to go into the orderby param:

$params = array(
    'limit' => -1,
    'orderby' => 'CAST (policy_order.meta_value AS SIGNED) ASC'
);
