“Order By” feature in Data Source not working or staying selected

Hello, I have selected the various options to Order By in the Data Source tab and save the layout but no matter which option I select the results continually order descending alphabetically from Z-A. Also when I return to the plugin settings, the “Order By” drop menu is back at the default setting “Select Order”.
