    Hi,

    I have an issue with my site since Dec 17th. My customers are experiencing major difficulties while placing orders :
    – some customers cannot place orders. the cart self-empties upon order confirmation
    – some customers can place orders but receive the confirmation email of other customers
    – some customers cannot place orders as their cart includes unwanted products that they cannot remove.

    I believe the problem comes for the new feature that has been implemented in Woocommerce 9.5 concerning delayed account creation and cross-selling.

    I’m sorry to hear about the issues your customers are experiencing on your WooCommerce site. Based on your description—carts emptying upon order confirmation, incorrect confirmation emails being sent, and carts containing unremovable unwanted products—it sounds quite frustrating.

    After reviewing your setup, I noticed that you’re using the Elementor page builder. Recently, several users have reported issues with this plugin, including caching conflicts that can lead to problems such as payment errors, incorrect cart contents, and even information leakage. The issue you’re experiencing, such as emails being sent to the wrong customers, could be caused by these conflicts or a combination of factors.     To help isolate the problem, I recommend testing on a staging site to avoid affecting your live site. You can create one using the WP Staging plugin. Once set up, try these steps:

    1. Deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce.
    2. Switch to the default Storefront theme.
    3. Remove any custom code running on your site.

    If you suspect the issue might be related to the Delayed Account Creation feature, temporarily disable it by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy and unchecking the option After Checkout (recommended). Then, recheck if the issue persists. It’s worth noting that we haven’t seen similar cases reported with the latest WooCommerce release, but this step can help confirm whether it’s originating from WooCommerce.

    Additionally, clearing cached data may help. To do this:

    1. Go to WooCommerce > Status > Tools.
    2. Clear WooCommerce transients, expired transients, and customer sessions.

    This can resolve issues caused by outdated or cached data.
