    Dear all, on some paypal service for example Giropay, Sofort or Kreditkarte sometimes there comes an error in checkout process on woocommerce: “order could not be created”

    Intermittent checkout issues can be quite annoying, especially when they’re difficult to pin down. From my investigation, it seems this error is not limited to specific PayPal services like APM or Credit Card payments, as I could reproduce it with the PayPal button on your site as well. Interestingly, on subsequent attempts, it worked, confirming its sporadic nature.

    This behavior and some more research into the error suggests the issue might be more related to WooCommerce rather than the PayPal Payments plugin directly. To begin troubleshooting, could you please navigate to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, find Verify base Database tables, and click on “Verify Database”? This tool will check your WooCommerce database tables and repair any issues it discovers.

    Please ensure to have a full backup of your full site and database before proceeding. This will help you restore your site to its current state if necessary.

    If the problem persists, we should rule out potential conflicts with your theme or other plugins. To do this:

    1. Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront and see if the problem continues.
    2. If the issue is resolved, you’ll want to contact your theme’s developer for assistance.
    3. If the issue persists with the Storefront theme, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and PayPal Payments and check again.
    4. If the issue is resolved, reactivate your plugins one by one, checking after each one, to pinpoint the conflict.
