Order number reaching 99999

    Could anyone tell me what will happen when our order numbers breach 99999?

    We have the following settings and I’m just curious to know what will happen after we reach order number 99999, whether it will then become 100000 or if the number will reset to 00001. I am hoping it will simply tick on to becoming a 6-digit number.

    Number generation: Order ID
    Sequential: Next order number 2
    Order Number width: 5
    Use MySQL transaction: Yes
    Enable Order Tracking by Custom Number: Yes
    Enable Order Admin Search by Custom Number: Yes
    Minimal Order ID: 0

    Hi @gwall

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    The next order will have 99999+1 and so on… The width will increase to maintain the duplicate orders.
