    Hi,

Well this plugin is still going strong with 151 directories and about 40,000 names ??

I have another 20 directories all ready to add and it would really be a great help if on the admin page the directories could be sorted by the most recent one first so I don’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to get the import then shortcode features etc.

If this can be done through changing code I am happy to do that as each time the plugin is updated I have to change code in it anyway – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-allow-duplicate-names/

Thank you for your time ??

    Hi @ahau ,

Thanks for your topic! I did not think about ordering of the directories. I have a few days off so it could take a while, but thanks again for your message!

    Kind regards,

Just went to drop in a whole lot more directories (202 directories and over 50,000 names now) and the order has reverted back to oldest to newest? Any chance it can be changed again to Newest to Oldest? ?? Or if you give me the code I can always change the files ??

    I am using Version 1.13.7

    Thank you for your time.

    Hey @ahau,

thanks for reaching out. I discovered a little bug. If a directory does not have any items, then it will be on the bottom. If directories have names, they are sorted with most recent on top like you asked to. I do have to check on how to fix this. I will keep you posted here.

    Kind regards,

@ahau it’s sorted like this btw: the directory with the most recent name entry is sorted above. It made sense to me at the time, but if there is no entry the directory shows up on top. I’ll check to see if I can put it on top and change the rest of the behaviour.

    Kind regards, Jeroen

@ahau my last comment will be implemented in the next version ??

Is the site you are working on public btw? I would love to see it in action with so many directories.

    Thank you for that ??

https://www.whakapapaclub.nz/category/lists/ is the pages that has all of the lists (made by name directory)

https://www.whakapapaclub.nz/lists/maori-battalion-a-m/ is the longest one with 2207 names.

https://www.whakapapaclub.nz/lists/eastern-maori-electoral-roll-1919/ has both name and description

Hey @ahau, no problem! Great to hear, and very nice to see how you use the plugin! I think I’ll list your website too in the examples if you are OK with that.

Love the new version with the most recent directories at the top – so very much appreciated ?? Having the empty ones at the top is great – I usually add in batches, so I create say 10 directories then just import all of the csv’s for each one. But if I want to see what is the latest one I have done then again I can see it at the top, instead of the long scroll down! *LOL*

Of course you can use my examples to promote your great plugin.
