    Hi Lorro,

Thanks for the link. I don’t know if my client doesn’t receive email. The only thing I am sure of is that I don’t get the order notification. I know I have an order because I get an email from Paypal. I’ve always gotten order notifications as well as customer contact emails and now nothing….and this is after the WooCommerce update. Does the link you sent me still apply?

Its a general trouble-shooting list for any WooCommerce email issues.

Is your theme up-to-date. Did you check that Settings > WooCommerce > Emails > New order is still enabled = checked.

    Yes it is checked off

I don’t know if my client doesn’t receive email. The only thing I am sure of is that I don’t get the order notification.

Then you should check if your client doesn’t receive email. You can place order yourself and see if the order email is sent. You can use sandbox PayPal account if you don’t want to pay yourself money.

Check your PHP error log. Make sure your PHP is logging errors (not displaying them!).

Disable all plugins (except WooCommerce) and then place an order.

See if your theme is applying any WooCommerce email templates overrides.

    I don’t know what you’ve tried…
    – is the Receipient(s) field completely blank, ie no spaces.
    – does the template exist:
    wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/emails/admin-new-order.php
    – is there a theme override at:
    wp-content/themes/my-theme-name/woocommerce/emails/admin-new-order.php
if there is, just knock it out of use temporarily by renaming it
    – try plain text emails
again ensure the template exists at
    wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/emails/plain/admin-new-order.php
    – deactivate other plugins to check there is no plugin conflict
    – try another theme to check it is not a theme issue
    – can you manage without for the time being, the issue may be corrected in a future update
    – please post the url for your site
Admittedly most of these are unlikely, but the issue may yield to one of them.

I don’t know how to do all this stuff and I’m afraid to break the site somehow. My webmaster won’t help me.

I’m afraid you will need a webmaster to do this, since debugging these sorts of stuff is not easy and, as said, it can be risky if you don’t know how to do this stuff. Sending emails in WooCommerce works and if doesn’t work for you then problem must be somewhere in your environment. You should find a freelance WooCommerce expert who you can ask to solve this kind of problems from time to time.

Dev49.net, thank you for your advice, but to be honest with you all this stuff happens when there are updates with either wordpress or wooCommerce. It’s ridiculous that I have to pay someone every time there is an update that doesn’t depend from me.

Well, technically you are getting the whole platform for free (WordPress + WooCommerce*) and people are giving you advices for free as well. So complaining on the fact that you actually have to pay some money for running your ecommerce business properly is a bit harsh…

*Actually, you are getting much more for free, because you are getting Linux, which runs Apache, which runs PHP, which runs WordPress, which runs WooCommerce, which run all your free plugins.
