Order ID Russian checkout on MAIB page issue

    Hi Alex, your MAIB plugin is awesome, however our website encounters an issue when it comes to the payment page.

    The order ID is not forwarded to the Russian version of the MAIB checkout page and the order description is shown as a scrambled text with strange symbols and not the necessary order information.

    Everything is ok on the Romanian version of the website. In short here is the scenario:
    Customer switches the language to Russian > Customer ads product to cart and fills in the account info > Customer is redirected to MAIB checkout page > The order description shows as scrambled text.

    @catalinamorar MAIB payment gateway representatives tell me that this is a currently known system limitation. My suggestion here is to use an english or latin transliterated order description for the time being.

    Thank you for your reply. But how can I do this transliteration (can you give me an example, I’m not sure I got it right).

    Concerning the first issue, I am still not redirected to the Russian checkout page in the MAIB system.

    Do you think if I use the Qtranslate Plugin it might solve the redirect issue?

    This payment issue is a big problem for a multilingual online store.

    @catalinamorar it seems that this is a problem related to a translation plugin that you seem to be using: TranslatePress

    A quick search reveals that a lot of users are having similar problems with this plugin https://www.ads-software.com/search/trp-gettext

    Hi again, Alex!

    So i got a new professional plugin for the translation, it is the WPML plugin. It is the full pro version, I have bought it for this website. However, when I am on the Russian version of the website, I add a product to the cart and try to make the payment, it still takes me to a Romanian page.

    How can I solve this problem?

    A quick search seems to show that WPML is not properly integrating with WordPress system function get_locale() that is used by this plugin to detect current language.
    Will try to find some workarounds in the following days.
