Did you checkout by skipping the WooCommerce checkout page and enter notes on the PayPal checkout page, or did you checkout through the WooCommerce page and enter notes there.

We actually just made some adjustments to these notes in our release branch on GitHub (which is basically the current version + any adjustments we’ve made that are fully tested and ready for the next version release.)

If you want to download that and give it a shot I think it should resolve any issue you’re having. Just download the zip from that link, then extract it and upload the plugin files overwriting the current files.

I checkout through the WooCommerce page and enter notes there. After I field on PayPal the ‘Note to seller ’ field too. None of them was saved. Sorry about my poor English

Can you go ahead and try grabbing the release branch as mentioned previously to see if that helps?

    Hi again!
I just discovered I was having this same issue too.
I downloaded the release on GitHub and installed as per your comments.
I can confirm that this does solve the problem, however I am getting this error in the dashboard: Paypal Plus error: Please enter your Rest API Cient ID and Secret ID here
I am unable to remove this message or change Paypal Plus:
Gateway Disabled: PayPal Plus does not support your store currency (Supports: EUR, CAD).

Will this release fix any issues I had with custom fields too?

Ah, yes, PayPal Plus has been added and apparently we need to make sure those notices don’t show up unless it’s enabled. We’ll also add a way to hide the notices even if it is enabled and they’re popping up.

It shouldn’t affect anything you’re doing, so If you can ignore the notices for now we’ll be sure to get that fixed in the release branch soon, and then of course that’ll be included in the official 1.1.6.3.8 release.

I’m using 1.1.7.5 and I’m getting reports from several customers that they left notes, but I don’t see any in WooCommerce. I asked a customer today where he left the note. He said he left it on my page, not in the PayPal system.

    Any ideas?

So they’re checking out through the WooCommerce page and leaving a note in that page’s note area, right?

Do you know if they’re using Payments Pro or Express Checkout (you could have EC enabled in the regular list of gateways along with credit cards.)

Yeah, checking out through WooCommerce page and leaving a note there.

They are using PayPal Express Checkout, it’s the only one I have enabled.

Ok, we’ll run some tests to see if we can reproduce this. I thought for sure we had all the notes passing through correctly regardless of how they checked out or where they added them, but maybe we missed something.

We’ll check it out and get it resolved in the next update.

This has been resolved in our release branch on GitHub, and it will be included in the next plugin update.

If you would like to grab it early you can download it here.

You’ll just need to extract the files and upload them manually to your web server overwriting the current plugin files.
