Order of category dropdown keeps resetting to alphabetical

    We have a search form that we have set up for a custom post type, “vault items”. The form has 2 dropdown fields, “vault category” and “vault format”, as well as a search field.

    We are displaying the “vault categories” in a custom order using the plugin “Custom Taxonomy Order”. However we have noticed that if we have the auto-count feature enabled, the order of this dropdown resets to alphabetical order whenever the count is updated (e.g. if a “vault format” is selected).

    We have also noticed that the order is alphabetical whenever we visit a single “vault item” page (where the form is also displayed).

    Any suggestions on how we can fix this?
