Order of Events in Main Blog

Give this a shot in functions.php file — sounds like that extension is in need of some love.

add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'tribe_post_date_ordering', 51 );

function tribe_post_date_ordering( $query ) {
	if ( ! empty( $query->tribe_is_multi_posttype ) ) {
		remove_filter( 'posts_fields', array( 'Tribe__Events__Query', 'multi_type_posts_fields' ) );
		$query->set( 'order', 'DESC' );
	}
}

Sadly, no change after adding this function.
I would want the order to be on Event Date… code says order ‘DESC’ ?

Hey Gary,

DESC stands for descending which relates to the date. I’m wondering if your theme is using a more customized loop that this extension can’t tap into since it works for me.

Can you temporarily activate a theme like Twenty Seventeen and try it?
