order-pay page not updated

Also with the core payments options, the payment method doesn’t update.

Thanks for sharing the video of your process here.

I replicated this on my test site and reproduced it on my end. The Payment Method will only be changed once you clicked the Pay for Order button.

Can you also test when you add a payment surcharge for the payment method, like example charge 2 euros when the user choose for PayPal. I wonder if the amount will also be updated.

I understand that you want to customize the payment area wherein a payment surcharge would be added in case the customer changes the payment gateway formerly used.
