Order Posts by Custom Field

is it possible to sort posts by a meta field?

I see options to filter by meta key/data but no option to sort by a meta key. I need to be able to sort as well as filter. Anyone know how to do this using wp-show-posts.

I know there might be a wp filter/hook that can be set but not really sure how that would work. It would be ideal if this feature was available in the plugin or at least in the pro version.

I know there are other plugins that would do this but I like to stay with generatePress.
