Order prefix

Is it possible to add an order prefix before Braintree or Paypal gets order number to avoid duplication

You can use a 3rd party plugin Custom Order Numbers to be able to add a pre-fix to order numbers. It will start after the most recent order once installed, but should work from that point on.

I tested some plugins and googled before posted on this forum. These plugins affects only WC Order ID, but not the Order ID that appears in Braintree Control or Paypal panel when viewing the transaction. As you know Paypal doesn’t allow same IDs. Another plugin for Braintree payments in wodrpress.org allow adding prefix to order ID and this ID appears in Braintree / Paypal.
Maybe plugin authors will add this function in future plugin updates!? Meanwhile please suggest some custom code which will help to resolve such problem?

Adding the option to add prefix to Braintree’s order ID is a good idea and we encourage you to add that as a request on the Ideas Board.

I’m personally not familiar with what code needs to do be added for the IDs but if you need assistance with coding, we recommend contacting a developer from one of these services at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.
