    Hi,

    we are writing to you due to an order status problem after purchase via paypal.

    Premise: the site is online, but it does not direct to any domain at this moment.

    After purchasing through PayPal, the user lands on the thank you and order summary page, but still displays, erroneously, the order status “Pending”. Only after the page has been refreshed does the status change to “Processing”.

    Why? Can you help us? Thank you.

    Hi Peter ??

    As a first step, have you checked if the payments were successfully in your PayPal dashboard? In case that they went through, and the order status did not change to either to Processing or Completed, then there might be an issue with your IPN configuration.

    Normally, orders through PayPal Standard where the payment goes to PayPal, but the order stays in Pending payment status are usually caused by IPN trouble.

    If it is an IPN issue, I’d recommend you to check the following article from our documentation in which explains how to debug IPN issues:

    Then,

    by carrying out our tests, there are no problems with IPN forwarding of mails, nor with “remote_post”. They work well.

    I guess and I hope that the problem is due to the domain not connected. In fact, the site was built by modifying the hosts file of the PC. Hence, it is only visible to us. As a result, no SSL certificate can be installed and no port 443 can be unlocked for communication between Woocommerce and PayPal.

    Right now, I can only guess. Given the working conditions, is it possible that the problem will be solved as soon as we connect the domain to the site?
