Can you please have a look to see if there are any order notes within the orders that are set to ‘Pending payment’?

Typically, these kinds of issues are due to a problem with IPN. Can you please double check if the notification URL in your PayPal account has been set properly? https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-standard/#section-6
