    I’m using the free version. When the customer completes the payment on venmo the order status on wooocommerce is set to On Hold. Do I have to purchase the pro version in order for the order status to be changed automatically after payment is complete?

    The only full end-to-end integration available is the Pay with Venmo through PayPal which notifies the store of the payment received. You can connect your PayPal account to automatically process orders.

    If you choose the Venmo link option, then you can integrate with emailreceipts.io to notify the store of any payments made since there’s no other way for the store to know when payments are received in your Venmo account. This requires the PRO version. Otherwise, you can manually process them

    Is there a tutorial on how to set up venmo with paypal? I’m trying to get it and I just keep getting the following even though I have the correct API settings for Paypal.

    • Invalid PayPal Data. Please try again with Venmo or pay with debit/credit
    • Invalid PayPal orderID. Please try again with Venmo or pay with debit/credit
    • Invalid PayPal authorizationID. Please try again with Venmo or pay with debit/credit

    There’s some written steps to follow in the plugin settings. Go to the link where you can get your credentials, add a PayPal app and input the credentials manually. (It is manual for now until we have a PayPal connect button in the future)

    Let’s meet so I can take a look for you if you have done the steps above.
    Also make sure your PayPal merchant account is eligible to accept Venmo payments first

    Also check if any of these eligibility criteria might be off but best to just meet so I can check everything for you:

    • US-based sellers and US-based buyers only.
    • Transaction must be in USD.
    • Buyers on mobile devices must use Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android.
    • Buyers on desktop web browsers can use any major web browser.
    • Buyers must have the Venmo iOS or Android app installed.
    • Has to be for One-time payments (not recurring payments).
