Ordering by meta value

Hello, I have created something like custom Events manager with Elementor PRO, ACF, CPT and Elementor custom skin (free).
Is there any way, how can I order the posts (in my case – Events), to order by custom field – event_start instead of post_date?
I have tried to use custom Query ID in element POSTS, however it seems it doesn’t work. Here’s a code snippet from my functions.php, which is absolutely ignored by Elementor:
