    Hello,

orders before 2017-04-14 have no invoice pdf-icon anymore, but I see that the version 2.7.3 has already fix that and the invoice pdf-icon appears again near the eye-icon, but only for the new orders. All orders before 2017-04-14 haven’t such icon even after the update. The huge problem come now: the previous invoices yes was sent attached to the email notification order, but there is no way to see them on their orders, I only have a “Create” button. If I do click it, I got a new invoice with a new number, not the one sent previously to the customer. We can see that the issue here is a really big issue.

How can I see the invoice pdf-icon beside the all orders again and recovery the previously generated invoice ?

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Jra

  • Just want to second that I had this problem too and had to revert back to 2.7.1 as i found that odd. Once i reverted all my invoices came back that had disappeared with 2.7.3.

I downgraded to 2.7.1 for the same reason.
No time to figure out what is going wrong.

Thank you both for your comments.
My problem is that I use this plugin in a lot of sites and just due to save maintenance time I’ve set up automatic updates for the most of the plugins on everyone of them. I don’t want to change that.
Because new orders for the 2.7.3 yes do generate invoices automatically and I will not do nothing with previous ones, I will not downgrade the version of the plugin for the moment. I’m pretty sure that un error of this magnitude will be fixed soon by the dev, and shortly we will have a 2.7.4 doing the same as the 2.7.1.

    Hi all,

Try 2.8.0. Should be fixed. ??
Let me know if problems are solved.

I confirm that you solved the issue.
    Thank you.

By the way I have a question, if I may (not really a problem but a concern) :

Previously (several months ago), invoices were archived in wp-content/uploads/bewpi-invoices, in folders per year, and, at some point (probably after an update), they began to be archived in wp-content/uploads/woocommerce-pdf-invoices/attachments (and not in folders per year anymore, but all together).
Is this normal or did I miss something ?

Best regards (and sorry for my english),

Yes, you are right. From 2.7.0 we’ve switched to ‘woocommerce-pdf-invoices/attachments’ folder.

If you want to save invoices to folder by year, you can use the “Reset yearly” option, but you will probably have to generate some invoices again.

    Thank you for clarifying.
    Keep up the good job.

Thank you for your quick response Bas.
I’ve updated to 2.8.0 but the problem is still there: I can’t see invoices created previous to 2017-04-14. At the Invoice No. column I see a “-” instead of the created invoice number (always before 2017-04-14).

There are some possible solutions you could try:

    1. Try switching between “Reset yearly” option.
    2. Install older version like 2.5.7 and update to latest version. Be sure to allocate enough memory.
    3. Use WooCommerce PDF Invoices Premium to bulk generate all invoices again. Shoot me an email if you need more info.

Thank you so much Bas for your response.

I’ve tried the point One and Two and none of them have worked for me.

Also I’ve downgraded to 2.7.0 in a try to revert all site to a previous working scenario where invoices were automatically generated and yes they appeared with their invoice number at its column on orders grid. Well, there haven’t been success with that neither.

So, I finally did update it to 2.8.0 then and I will let it like this. I will do not use Premium for the moment because to regenerate all invoices means that they will get a new invoice number and that would be a tragedy for my business (customers who paid with PayPal already got their delivery notes automatically —in fact they are local-pick-up notes—; I can’t generate a delivery note numbered differently from the one received by the customer).
