    Hi,

    A total newbie here but would love some help …

    We had a website built with a woocommerce cart and as I’m not one to take the first no as an answer, I am asking directly on here after having spoken to the people who built it.

    Basically we are a fast food takeaway and have hopefully just about got our online ordering system up and running. The problem we are having is that the orders are being sent through to our till system (which is integrated to the website) before the customer has paid.

    Baring in mind that I’m fairly new to all of this, does anyone have any helpful information on whether we should be able to get the orders to be sent AFTER the customer has paid. At the moment we have to wait 5-10 minutes to see if the payment has gone through and keep checking the back office of the site to make sure.

    Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  • You are likely using wooCommerce. If so, you can go to wp-admin -> wooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails, then enable or disable which emails you want sent. You can also modify email templates by overriding them into your theme. More info here.

    Thanks for your reply. Maybe I wasn’t particularly clear …

    We are using WooCommerce and this is integrated with our till system. Customers order online and then these orders are sent through to our till system so we can make them up. The problem we are having is that the order is being sent through before customers have paid. I was wondering if there is a way round this or at least where its best to look.
