• hello there was an order from Jan 3rd in woocommerce that was showing in “orders” in the dashboard when it was placed and i also received the email confirmation and then the next day the order had disappeared both from the dashboard as well as the emails. why did this happen?

    also the last 5 days i was facing problems with my website as it had returned to an older version of the website (possibly a version from jan 3rd) and the order from jan 3rd that had disappeared suddenly reappeared.

    We restored the backup of the website we had from february 2nd and the order disappeared again. why is this happening?

    why did the order disappear a day after it was placed, then it was still not showing for a month and then suddenly when the website lost data it reappeared again and when we restored the latest backup that we had from feb 2nd it disappeared again?

    That’s very strange. Let’s assume there was an error on website making that order disappear, but it isn’t possible to be deleted from your email provider interface without you (or someone else) actually deleting it.

    I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/woocommerce/ so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    If you think you’ve been hacked, take a deep breath and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    At least, I strongly recommend you change your passwords and make sure no one else has access to your site and email service.

    i contacted my hosting providor and they told me this might be because on the beginning of january i changed my hosting package and the dns was propagating so maybe the order was lost there.

    at the last 5 days the site was running at an older version (before the chage in the hosting package) that is why it reappeared.

    now after the website restore the website is running again at the after the change of hosting package version that is why the order disappeared again.

    So, it seems it’s a hosting issue, not a WordPress one.
