    Marketpress used to work just fine on my website at https://sweeetheat.com.

    Now when someone submits an order, the processing indicator swirls endlessly (well, maybe it ends eventually, but on my test, it’s been literally swirling for hours). I could send you a screenshot if the forum had that capability.

    Also, I’m no longer receiving email notifications that I have received an order and the customer does not receive an order confirmation, but their card is charged for the order.

    Please help!

    Hey @timelymanner1,

    Hope you’re well.

    Sorry to hear that issue. Because of the problem is happening on cart payment I couldn’t try on your site. But I saw some error messages on browser console.

    Did you make any changes on your site before this problem happens? Like installing a new plugin. If yes can you deactivate that plugins for a test?

    If that doesn’t help, can you activate WordPress debug logging? You need to edit wp-config.php file and add these codes;

    /* Debug Settings */
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);
    /* End of Debug Settings */

    Then go to your checkout and open browser console too. If you are using Google Chrome, you can use Command+Option+J for mac or Control+Shift+J for windows. Take a screenshot of the console while swirling. Then you can upload to some image storage service or some file service like Dropbox, Google Drive and share URL here.

    Also check your wp-content folder is there any debug.log file created? If yes share that file too with us.

    Cheers,
    Oguz

    Thank you so much! I’ve deactivated all but the necessary plugins and it’s still happening.

    And here’s the debug.log file:

    Hello @timelymanner1

    I’ve deactivated all but the necessary plugins and it’s still happening.

    This may not be good enough…could you please grab a backup of your site and proceed with a full plugin conflict test? Deactivate them all apart from MarketPress and activate a default theme, then try again.
    If you can create a staging environment first, meaning a complete and exact copy of this site in another location/folder in the same server, using a separate database, even better, as you can skip the backup and test safely.

    Debug log didn’t provide much info unfortunately.
    I can also see that you’re using many browser extensions, so I’d rather advise to use incognito mode while testing. ??

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

    OK, completely shut off ALL plugins except MarketPress. Same issue. Left all plugins off (except MP) and tried it with default Twenty Seventeen theme. Still the same issue. Spinner just spins in infinity and order never processes on the front end.

    Hey @timelymanner1,

    Hope you’re well.

    Can you please inform me which payment gateway are you using? And can you check the is payment gateway settings correct?

    Also, I want to mention the card details can be visible on your image, so if it’s not testing card please remove the image.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the heads up on the card! Yikes!!

    The gateway being used is Stripe, and I believe the settings are correct (see image at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aChtILnbEQFGSZR9lItqSIDtasJ41CzA/view?usp=sharing).

    Hey @timelymanner1,

    Hope you’re well.

    I talked this with the developers and they are thinking this can happen because of some bugs on the current version. I have a new beta version for you which you can download here https://drive.google.com/open?id=18cOrrvBdB198vZbAa6Zc6yAQ5ZX83hwn

    But because of this is the beta version and not stable yet you should carefully use it. First try this on staging site, or after taking a full backup of your current site. So if anything goes wrong you can restore it.

    If this version solves the issue, then you will be good on the next update too.

    Cheers,
    Oguz

    I receive the following error testing a sale on the staging site (https://bbq.websuperchick.com/store):

    There was an error processing your card – \”Requested HTML document contains no data.\”. Please try again.

    (@timelymanner1)

    Also, the test sale that generated the error \”Requested HTML document contains no data.\” did go through on the back end. The test card (which was actually a live card with a live sale) was charged for the transaction.

    Hello @timelymanner1

    That’s strange… so you got a error message about the card, but payment actually went through…

    Hey, Dmitris, just sent reply via secure contact form per your request.

    Hi @timelymanner1, I am having a similar issue on my site. Just as you describe in this thread, the payment goes through successfully, but the customer receives an error message saying that it did not. This thread does not contain the solution, as it appears the conversation moved into private messages. Would it be possible to share the solution you eventually decided on? It would be very helpful if you can. Thanks so much! Have a great day.

    Hello there @mardesco

    This never got actually resolved as member used another plugin before trying to troubleshoot this.
    As these kind of errors are related to server setup and probably conflicts with other plugins or theme, please do create your own topic about it so we’re following wp.org forum regulations.
