Orders stuck in pending payment

Hello, since january 5th the order status of customer orders that don’t work, won’t go to ‘cancelled order’ anymore. Orders get stuck at ‘pending payment’. This does only affect some orders and from what we can tell by talking to affected customers it is usual error on the customers side like not finishing the payment process with paypal or klarna, that would normally lead to order status ‘cancelled order’. Since january 5th there are no orders anymore with the status ‘cancelled order’. Orders won’t go back from status ‘pending payment’ to status ‘cancelled order’ automatically after some time, as they did before.
I already checked Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory > Hold stock . It is set to 30 minutes, so theoretically orders should go to cancelled after 30 minutes, but it won’t happen.
I was also in contact with Woocommerce support, who said we should post here.Our store uses Klarna Payments and Paypal Plus for payments. Both Klarna and Paypal orders are affected.
