I’m using the new PayPal Payments plugin and now all of my orders are stuck in ‘processing’ in Woocommerce but have been paid in PayPal. However, they also do not show the transaction ID. I checked the error logs and perhaps it has to do with the IPN?

2021-07-09T14:23:39+00:00 INFO Received valid response from PayPal IPN
2021-07-09T14:23:39+00:00 ERROR Order ID and key were not found in “custom”.
2021-07-09T15:38:30+00:00 INFO Checking IPN response is valid
    2021-07-09T15:38:31+00:00 INFO IPN Response: Array

I thought I set it up correctly: https://mysite.com/?wc-api=WC_Gateway_Paypal (I changed mysite.com from my own for privacy reason).

    Please advise.

Is there any downside for continuing to use the paypal checkout plugin versus the other one for the foreseeable future? The new one is riddled with issues.

    Hi @qwik3r,

Is there any downside for continuing to use the paypal checkout plugin versus the other one for the foreseeable future? The new one is riddled with issues.

First of all, sorry to hear about your issues with the new PayPal Payments plugin. If you need support for it, in addition to the link provided by Niall above, you can also reach out to the team in charge of PayPal Payments at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. Make sure to select PayPal Payments in the form and include a copy of your site’s System Status Report. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

As for any downsides with continuing to use the PayPal Checkout plugin, there isn’t any for now.?PayPal?currently does not have plans to deprecate it. That said, PayPal Payments is now PayPal’s recommended plugin. It’s where they intend to add future feature upgrades.

Hey @qwik3r , I’m having the same issue and found this thread by googling it. Were you able to find a solution? Thanks!

@xuanminh I switched back to using this plugin instead of the new PayPal Payments plugin which resolved the issue. There were several updates though since I switched so it might be fixed on the new plugin. Are you referring to orders being stuck in processing with that one or this plugin?

@qwik3r I’m using that new one called “WooCommerce PayPal Payments”. Will check out this plugin or go back to the built in Paypal Standard for now.

    Thanks.
