• Hi, Folks!

What I’m after is something that seems so basic that it should be built into WordPress, but I don’t think it is.

Question: Why are all of my site’s pages loose in one main “Pages” group? I’d like to be able to make folders or tabs in the Dashboard interface where I can click on, for example, “FAQ Pages” or “Landing Pages” and see only those pages. Yes, I can search for the phrase FAQ, but then any page that mentions FAQ shows up.

Folders or tabs that show only one type/purpose of page would be so handy, and would allow me to hide “Backup” pages, so my boss doesn’t get confused. I could hide Backup pages in the trash, but then they could be deleted accidentally so easily.

    Thanks for your help,
    Alex Adams

  • Have you looked at any of the dashboard or admin plugins?

    Hi, esmi,

I tried a bunch of searching, but kept getting results that did not relate to my need. What search phrase would you use?

    Thanks!

Still hoping somebody has an answer for me. Thanks!

Well – I’m jumping into this hole as well – I’m new to WP and I’m under a great deal of pressure to make some customizations to a WP theme – but for the life of me, I can’t find any ideas on how to do the very basic task of creating a folder.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

Me neither! I have used WP for a number of years but the number of pages on one of my sites is out of control. I really need a better way of organising them. Any help, please?

(I have searched for admin and dashboard plugins, to no avail.)
