Organizing

OK, so I know there are lots of smart guys here so I’m starting here.

I have an iPhone app reviewing site and for the first little while his was not a problem but now I’m getting more posts and need organization.

I have Categories similar to the ones you would see in the app store. Games, Entertainment, Music, Books, etc. I also have Categories called A, B, C, D. Alphabetically A-Z. So the Parent categories are APPs A-Z and APPs By Category, I’m fine leaving the APPS by Category chronological but I want People to be able to click the Parent APPS A-Z and see all posts alphabetically.

After a bit of Googling (admittedly not much) I found a way to make site wide alphabetically but not alphabetical for one specific category and its children (Technically I have no APPs in A-Z(Parent) but I do have them in A, B, C, etc(children))

I eventually want to add the category APP by Raiting (I rate 1-10) and the sub-categories 1, 2, 3….

Am I doing this inefficiently? Is there an easier/less complex way to do this?
