Organizing pages

    This may be hard to explain, but this is how I want my site to look:

    Main page, with posts as normal.

    On the sidebar, I’d want pages that act as “folders” or categories. Those main pages would be the only pages that appear. Then when a user views one of those pages, the page appears, and the sidebar changes to list all pages defined as a child of that page.

    The main issue is I only want the child pages to appear when you are viewing their immediate parent.

    Is there a way to accomplish this?
