Orientation and zooming on iPad

    Orientation change

    I find on iPad that when you switch from portrait to landscape orientation, the background images looses its’ aspect ratio, and looks “squished” vertically.

    It works fine going from landscape to portrait as the image resets to the correct position and aspect ratio.

    Pinch zoom

    Also, if you pinch to zoom, then back out again, the background doesn’t return to fullscreen.

    Update

    I managed to make the orientation issue bit better by turning off the “crossfade” transition. Which is fine, but a shame as it’s a lovely effect.

    It still sometimes locks in the worng aspect ratio, but more often than not will correct itself.
