Hi, today i noticed that the image size is shown with 200 x 109 for the original image (top right corner). But it is and should be 1000×400 (in my case).

So now when you want to change a thumbnail, you get the warning exclamation mark and cropping does not work as usual. It seems like he really uses the 200×109 version to crop other thumbnails.

it worked last week and maybe it has to do with wordpress 5.3?

PS: It’s only a problem with new uploads

Ok, i need some more infos:

    • When was the image uploaded (before or after wordpress 5.3)?
    • Whats the size of the uploaded image?
    • Whats the size target image-size?
    • Does this happend for all new uploaded images – or just this single one?

Indeed WordPress 5.3 brings a new feature: it automaticly crops images to a maximum of (i think) 2600x2600px. But from my tests that didn’t change any of the functionality for crop-thumbnails.

I found out it’s another plugin “Compress JPEG & PNG images” from TinyPNG.
    I’m sorry I bothered you.
