Hi, we started using this plugin because it resized the images (our host is very tight with storage) but we just discovered the original images are stored as well as the optimized ones. is there a way to make it stop doing that??

    Hi @wclune,

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Dear user, please note that original images we always keep because if you’ll need to reset the image sizes, etc, we’ll need them for being able to process with your changes.

If you are sure that you won’t need the original images in the future, then you can delete them from \wp-content\uploads\photo-gallery\.original folder.

Is there a way to just use the original thumbnails and full size images I uploaded with the wordpress media library? I have all images in uploads folder already, I do not organize into month and year folders

    Hi,

You can disable GD library ,it is the only way. But we do not recommend doing it because some features will not work.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!

Thanks, we are very happy we found this out before we purchased the premium version. Not really sure why they would optimize the images, then save the originals in hidden folders….

    Hi,

@wclune disabling GD library was the reply to another user. If you do not need the original images in the future, then you can delete them from \wp-content\uploads\photo-gallery\.original folder which you can do via FTP account.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!
