• Hi,

Thank you for making this plugin. When using the plugin in a multi-site environment, the not-found replay for the original WordPress url’s (as a setting in Hide My WP) does not include the same ‘not found’ replay-page as WordPress by default does.

    /network/admin.php?page=hmwp_tweaks#tab=redirects

Two options in ‘Redirect Hidden Paths:’:
    *404 page
    *404 HTML Error

Both give a white page with 404 message.
But this white 404 message is not equal as a WordPress 404 message page.

Is on of the options/setting not working?
Feature not there that it responses different as WordPress 404-not found?

    Kind regards,

    Hi @clouddevelopment,

Thank you for the feedback, really appreciate it.

The 404 page is usually set by the theme and having a 404 slug it should trigger the theme 404 page.

The 404 Error is handled by HMWP Ghost to show the browser default 404 error when accessing a Not Found page.

You can create a 404 page and select it from Hide My WP > Tweaks > Redirects. If the theme already created one, you can choose it from the list.

    Best, John

    Hi John,

Thank you for your quick replay.

Selecting a predefined 404-page and using a 404-redirect plugin is indeed the solution to partly-fix this bug. If the ‘hiding wp-admin/wp-login(or others)’ feature for redirected-URL’s is disabled(or default, not-selected/disabled), the default WordPress 404-error functioning should be triggered/working when hiding a URL.

But that solution is not a fix for the two not working ‘features'(given below and above). But this solution is no fix, to make HideMyWP its hidden folders/paths feature working(not breaking).

Meaning that these two features are not working
Two options in ‘Redirect Hidden Paths:’:
    *404 page
    *404 HTML Error

    I can help with basic-debugging.
    Please advise,
