I have some phantom locations in the WP database, I think as a result of a failed data upload.

Using the shortcode [locations_list pagination=”1″] (in a draft post), we get a list of locations. Some locations have multiple entries.

    e.g. for ‘location name’,

    https://chorltonartsfestival.org/locations/location_name

    https://chorltonartsfestival.org/?p=6930&preview=true

    https://chorltonartsfestival.org/?p=6930&preview=true

The second two are invalid URLs but they render on the locations list page as having ‘location_name’ . The URL takes you back to the page you are on.

In the EM admin screens (General>Admin Tools (Advanced) there is a tool, ‘Database Cleanup’. That worked for a similar problem with phantom (i.e. orphaned) events. However, there is no such function for locations.
Could that be added, or, is there a straightforward workaround? I can edit the database for the locations manually, deleting the rogue locations, but that takes considerable time, working through each one and checking which should be genuine. N.B. It isn’t a simple matter of the status flag: both the phantom locations and the real ones have a flag of 1.
