Orphaned media thumbnails after deleting media

  • Hello,
    When deleting image media in the native media library, media is deleted correectly, that is OK. But why all related thumbnails still exists in /uploads folder?
    Shouldn’t it be delete concurently when deleting main image?
    It takes up space on the disk unnecessarily.

    Or am I missing something?

  • Just confirmed on 6.1.1 that this works as expected: deleting all the generated sizes.

    If that’s not the case for you, you likely have a theme or plugin doing some wonky stuff.
