    Hello

I have enabled the orygin extension and wanted to check whether that is enough for images to redirect the page they are used on or do I need to attach the images to the page/post I’m using them on?

    Thanks
    Celina

    Hi Celina,

On Origin’s documentation “Usage” page, this is answered:

For an attachment page to redirect a visitor to its respective page, the attachment must be uploaded via the post edit screen.

If the assigned page no longer exists or has never existed, Origin will then redirect the visitor to the attachment itself.

In other words, only the page you upload the attachment to first is recognized as the attachment’s “respective/parent page”. Subsequent re-uses of the attachment shouldn’t affect the “parent page”.
